The Democratic Republic of Congo is about to host the CAF African Colleges Soccer Championship.
This upcoming occasion marks the ultimate leg of the competitors, with the Central African Soccer Federations’ Union (UNIFFAC) Zone gearing up to stage the concluding section of the Zonal Qualifiers.
A Monday press launch by the CAF On-line Communications Division, retrieved by our correspondent, revealed this.
It learned, “Following the highly profitable Zonal qualifiers held by COSAFA, CECAFA, UNAF, WAFU A, and WAFU B, Kinshasa performs host to the UNIFFAC Zonal qualifiers set to happen at Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa between March 11 and 17, 2024.
“The uniquely designed programme, the brainchild of CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe, has, in its second season, reached more than 800,000 school-going girls and boys under the age of 15.”

In line with the discharge, the ASFC not only showcases African soccer expertise but also goals to empower future leaders using concurrent capacity-building programmes.

“Whereas showcasing and making a platform for the following era of African soccer expertise stays a vital spotlight of the programme, CAF’s parallel goal of the competitors is to leverage the match by capacitating future African leaders using the assorted capacity-building programmes that run concurrently with the game.
“Only recently, in Mauritania, where Nouakchott hosted the WAFU A Qualifiers, have the CAF-accredited programs impacted extra learners and educators.
“These programs included the CAF D Licence Teaching Course, the CAF Management Programme, the Younger Reporters Programme, the Younger Referees Programme, and the CAF Safeguarding Programme.
“With DR Congo concluding the zonal qualifiers, the main focus will instantly shift to the CAF African Colleges Championship Finals; the place winners from all six CAF Zones will compete for continental glory.”
