The navy Joint Activity Power North-West Operation Hadarin Daji stated on Wednesday that it neutralised scores of bandits and rescued eight kidnapped victims in Zamfara State.
The Info Officer of Operation Hadarin Daji, Lt. Col. Suleiman Omale, acknowledged this in an announcement on Wednesday in Gusau.
Omale stated, “On the twenty-eighth of February 2024, the troops engaged the terrorists with a heavy gun duel which, on account of superior preventing energy, the unhealthy parts fled in disarray and deserted their captors.

He stated all rescued victims had been handed over to the suitable authorities to reunite them with their respective households.
The Commander of the Joint Activity Power, Maj. Gen. Godwin Mutkut, who can be the Basic Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Military, recommended the troops’ efforts for their continued doggedness and resilience to revive normalcy within the North-West.
Zamfara is likely one of the states hardest hit by banditry.
