The Embassy of Qatar has refuted current media stories claiming the cancellation of President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Qatar.
The Embassy clarified the scenario in an announcement, asserting that the trip stays scheduled as deliberate.
A letter dated February 22, 2024, addressed to the Protocol Division of the Ministry of Overseas Affairs in Nigeria, outlined Qatar’s resolution.
The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Abuja has clarified the lineup of occasions for that impact.
Based on the letter, the go-to, scheduled from March 2 to 3, 2024, contains plans for an Enterprise and Funding Discussion Board (BIF) on March 2.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Qatar from March 2–3, 2024, concerning the internet hosting of an Enterprise and Funding Discussion Board (BIF) on the margins of Mr President’s visit to Qatar on March 2, 2024.
In diplomatic correspondence with the Ministry of Overseas Affairs, the Embassy reiterated that the Qatar Chamber of Commerce will host the occasion on March 3, 2024, as the Federal Republic of Nigeria proposed.
The clarification has become essential to clearing deliberate misinformation and misrepresentations within the media on the purported cancellation of the occasion.”
