The South East Zonal Government Committee of the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday affirmed the suspension of Mrs Ginika Tor by the Enugu State Chapter of the get together.
Tor, a Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State on the Federal Character Fee, was suspended over alleged gross misconduct, anti-party actions, and makes an attempt to create a parallel government of the get together within the state.
Nonetheless, arising from the Zonal Government Committee assembly of the get together in Enugu on Tuesday, the zonal management of the get together thought of the report of the Enugu State chapter suspending Tor and ratified it.
An announcement signed by the Nationwide Vice Chairman, APC South East, Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu, famous that the zonal government committee has ratified the suspension of the commissioner from the get together.
In response to the assertion, Tor had on March 10, 2024, allegedly engaged in anti-party actions and revealed statements whose goal was to carry the management of APC Enugu and the Enugu State Government into “disrepute, contempt, hatred and public ridicule.
“She additionally created a factional/parallel State Government Committee in APC Enugu state, which is opposite to Part 21:2 of the 2022 Structure of the All Progressives Congress as amended.
“The South East Zonal Government of the APC hereby ratifies the suspension of Mrs Ginika Tor from the All Progressives Congress.”
