Some suspected bandits have killed two individuals throughout Ramadan prayer on Saturday at Mairuwa village within the Faskari Native Authorities Space of Katsina State.
The spokesperson for the Kastina State Police Command, Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this in a phone interview with PUNCH On-line on Sunday
Sadiq stated the suspected bandits invaded the village, killed two in keeping with preliminary investigation, and kidnapped some residents throughout the prayers.
These kidnapped had been later rescued by policemen alongside different safety brokers.
“On the twenty third March, 2024, at precisely 8:30pm, some suspected bandits attacked Mairuwa village throughout Ramadan prayers, they got here there to kidnap and because of that, they shot and killed two individuals.
“They kidnapped a lot of individuals. Our males, in collaboration with neighborhood watch corps and vigilantes, engaged the bandits in a gun duel
“The safety forces succeeded in repelling the assault, thereby rescuing all of the kidnapped victims,” he stated.
Sadiq added that the command had begun investigations on the incident, and efforts had been being made to arrest the perpetrators.
