Following the Federal Government’s invitation regarding his comments on bandit activities, Kaduna Islamic cleric Sheikh Gumi said he had a “productive interaction” with the agencies on how to curb banditry across the country.
Foxiz NIGERIA reviews that the Minister of Data, Mohammed Idris, disclosed on Monday while addressing the State Home journalists that the federal government deemed it appropriate to question the cleric, including that he (Gumi) was not above the regulation.
Recall that Gumi had provided barter with bandits who kidnapped about 287 schoolchildren (137 as claimed by the Kaduna State Authorities) from Kuriga Authorities Secondary and LEA Main Faculties within the Chikun Native Authorities Space of the state.
In a submission on his X (previously Twitter) deal with #Ahmad_Gumi, on Tuesday, Gumi assured his followers that there was no trigger for alarm, including that there was no animosity in the middle of the assembly and referred to as for unity and synergy to attain eternal peace.
“Last night, I received many frantic calls from well-wishers and journalists a few information merchandise that I was interviewed by security. There’s completely no cause for alarm. Sure, we had a productive interaction on curbing banditry as we’re all attempting—each in his personal sphere—to deal with the monster bedevilling the nation.
“There was no animosity but courtesy and respect. We all want to unite and work together as a nation to attain eternal peace. I appreciate your concern. Might Allah proceed to guard us from all evil? Amin,” the submitter learned.
