Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has spoken for the first time about the drama that ensued during the Turkish Super League final Sunday involving Fenerbache and Trabzonspor.
Osayi-Samuel was seen in a video combating again following an attack by offended Trabzonspor followers after their workforce’s 3-2 residence loss to Fenerbahce.
In the footage, a Nigerian was seen knocking down a pitch invader while defending his teammate from the invading supporters after they charged the visiting gamers.
“The followers attacked the workforce; some had weapons on them; I needed to defend my workforce; it was in self-defence, that’s what occurred,” Osayi-Samuel said by Rating Nigeria.
He also mentioned that the victory over Trabzonspor was probably the most satisfying.
“We discovered a method to win and avenge our sole loss within the league to the identical workforce after they beat us at our residence within the first spherical,” he mentioned.
Fenerbache now has 79 factors, two factors behind leaders Galatasaray with eight rounds of matches to the top of the season.
