The Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has inaugurated the Nwonyo Worldwide Fishing and Cultural Pageant after 14 years.

Sharing photographs from the competition, the state authorities wrote, “Governor Kefas revives Nwonyo Worldwide Fishing and Cultural Pageant, After a 14-year hiatus.
“The competition was inaugurated on Friday with a grand opening ceremony held on the picturesque Lake Nwonyo within the Ibi native Authorities space of Taraba State.”
Nwonyo Fishing and Cultural Pageant is alleged to be one of many oldest of its form in Africa.
