Lightning allegedly orchestrated by victims’ relatives reportedly killed three suspected kidnappers in Oro Ago, Kwara state. Foxiz Daily learned that this was carried out by the local vigilance team in Igbomina Kwara to address security challenges in the area three days ago.
An Oro-Ago Development Union source confirmed that the local vigilance team briefed the organisation on the incident. Credible sources in the community revealed that kidnapping victims had sought help from the local vigilantes, who vowed to use charms against the kidnappers terrorising the town.
In the viral video, suspected members of a kidnapping gang were struck by lightning. The one-minute, 13-second clip showed three decomposed bodies burned beyond recognition in a bush, with flies all around. The voice in the video clip stated that the vigilance team in Igbomina Kwara has successfully fought against evil and kidnappings in the area. Thunder strikes killed three of them. God will make us successful against evildoers, and by His grace, we shall overcome them all. Another video clip showed Fulani herders in a bush, mourning their loss after the thunderstrike. Thank you all. They attributed the incident to an unquestionable act of God, stating that the thunderstrike was from God and not man-made. Kwara state police Commissioner Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi confirmed the incident, saying that the command had initiated an investigation.
