As Nigerians celebrated Eid-el-Kabir, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) accused the President Tinubu-led APC administration of implementing anti-people policies, making it difficult for many people to celebrate. The Presidency responded, stating that the PDP is envious of Tinubu’s achievements in three weeks, saying he did what the PDP could not do in 16 years.
The ruling APC urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu as he takes steps to reposition Nigeria for economic growth. Eid al-Adha is a symbolic Islamic tradition that commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice. The PDP congratulated Nigerians on Eid-el-Kabir and cautioned the APC and the Federal Government against anti-people policies. They urged people to pray for justice and Allah’s will in the nation’s affairs. The PDP commended Nigerians for their resilience in economic hardship and asked them to remain patient, hopeful, and trusting in God despite challenges.

The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Debo Ologunagba, urges Nigerians not to lose sight of the essence of Eid-el-Kabir amidst current hardships and uncertainty. They emphasize the demand for selflessness, trust, and submission to Allah’s will in all aspects of life. The PDP finds it distressing that Nigerians are currently facing severe economic hardship under the APC-led Federal Government. They are implementing policies that are causing hardship for the people without any clear plans for relief. Our party is deeply concerned about the worsening economic crisis, skyrocketing prices of essential goods and services, the decline in citizens’ purchasing power, and the economic distress affecting millions of families nationwide.
Sadly, millions of Nigerians can’t afford to celebrate with loved ones due to hardship and insensitive policies imposed by the APC government. The PDP encourages Nigerians to unite in love, support, and care during Eid-el-Kabir.
