On Tuesday, the Army Particular Activity Pressure accountable for sustaining peace in Plateau State mentioned that it rewarded eight personnel of Operation Protected Haven for rejecting an N1.5m bribe from suspected cattle rustlers within the state.
The spokesman for the duty drive, Capt. Oya James, who disclosed this in a press release on Tuesday, mentioned the eight personnel deployed at OPSH Sector 4 intercepted 30 rustled cows at the Bisichi checkpoint within the Barkin Ladi native authorities space of the state.
According to him, the cattle belonging to at least one Shehu Umar had been rustled in Mangu and had been transported to an undisclosed location when troops of the duty drive on a stop-and-search operation intercepted them.

“The commander, Operation Protected Haven, Maj. Gen. Abubakar, while presenting a money reward to the distinguished personnel, urged different safety personnel to repeatedly exemplify good conduct and bravado within the discharge of their tasks.
“Represented by the Chief of Workers OPSH, Brig. Gen. M.O. Agi, the commander, additionally charged them to emulate the wonderful conduct of the eight personnel.”
