A Nigerian Air Force MI-171 helicopter crashed near Chukuba Village in Niger State on a casualty evacuation mission at 1 p.m.
The aircraft had departed Zungeru Primary School en route to Kaduna but was discovered near Chukuba Village.
Efforts are being made to rescue the crew and passengers, while preliminary investigations are determining the probable cause.
The accident follows the tragic loss of seven NAF personnel on their flight from Abuja to Minna on February 22, 2021.
