A number of people have apparently been murdered as a result of the collapse of a multi-story structure in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
According to the DAILY POST, the incident occurred on Wednesday night due to heavy rain.
The structure is located on Lagos Street, Garki Village, Garki II neighbourhood of Abuja.
As of press time, details on the incident were hazy. However, Ikharo Attah, a former adviser to the FCT’s immediate previous Minister, verified the development in a Facebook post, saying a rescue operation is presently underway.
He stated that at least seven people have been rescued and transported to hospitals, while others remain trapped.
