The Defence Headquarters has declared that no fewer than 97 individuals are needed. The needed individuals embody terrorists and insurgents, amongst others, who are behind violent crimes within the nation. In addition, they represent a factional chief of the criminal Indigenous Individuals of Biafra, Simon Ekpa.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba confirmed the names and photos of the individuals who declared they needed to be our correspondent on Friday.
Our correspondent had final week solely reported that the navy’s excessive command was planning to declare some terrorists needed.
In contrast to November 2022, when the navy declared no fewer than 19 bandit leaders needed and placed a bounty of N5m on each of them to encourage Nigerians to volunteer information that might result in their arrest, this time around, no bounty was placed on the 97 individuals declared needed.
The names and photos contained terrorists from the North East and North West in addition to insurgents within the South East and North Central.
A total of 43 individuals had been declared wanted in North West Zone ravaged by banditry, amongst which are:
