The 6th Annual West Africa Leadership Summit and Awards recently took place in Lagos, bringing together top Nigerian leaders and influential speakers for a weekend of insightful discussions. The event organizers expressed their satisfaction with this year’s edition, which featured a diverse lineup of speakers and business owners from around the world. These experts engaged in meaningful conversations about crucial topics, focusing on strategies to foster economic growth and better governance in Nigeria.

During the second plenary session, Amb. Tosin Sanusi, the CEO of EDUBOX GLOBAL, shared his insights on the influential role of social media in boosting businesses and brands. He emphasized how social media has become a formidable force, significantly contributing to the success of various enterprises, individuals, and even government initiatives. Amb. Tosin exemplified the government’s intervention by recounting a scenario in which he requested a list of outstanding WAEC students from a year. Through the power of social media, this initiative received widespread attention, resulting in a substantial improvement in student outcomes and government support.
Other panelists delved into the role of social media in shaping political discourse, strategies for combating misinformation, and leveraging technology to facilitate transparent and accessible elections.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to deserving nominees, recognizing their significant contributions to various industries. These individuals were celebrated for their knowledge and achievements across different spheres. Notably, Her Excellency HRH. Amb Dr. Yeye Lara Fashola and other distinguished figures received accolades for their excellence and contributions to the event’s success.
