Damagum careworn the numerous positions of moms and ladies, stating that it can’t be overstated highlighting the PDP as the only real celebration offering alternatives for ladies to succeed.

The PDP National Chairman acknowledged, “The importance of moms and the position of ladies can’t be overstated. Let me be honest with you: I pray and hope that, even if not in our era, someday a lady will turn out to be the president of this nation. I say this with utmost sincerity and from the depth of my coronary heart because I imagine that the lads have failed this era.

“In politics, that’s why the founding fathers of PDP recognised the significance of women. As we speak, in Nigeria, regardless of how you look at it, PDP is probably the most democratic celebration in Nigeria and Africa. It’s the one celebration that gives girls the chance to aspire to any place without having to purchase any type. We do that to encourage girls.”

Earlier, PDP Nationwide Girl Chief Amina Divine Arong emphasised that attaining gender equality in political participation and management is important for reaching sustainable growth targets by 2030.

Arong stated that despite girls being recognised as influential catalysts for optimistic change with demonstrated benefits, they nonetheless face important underrepresentation in politics and other fields.

She stated, “The significance of getting girls in management positions can’t be overemphasised as the outcome has proven clearly that Firms and organisations led by girls appear to have fared higher than their counterparts throughout instances of economic disaster. Having girls as leaders and decision-makers in any respect ranges is crucial to advancing gender justice and gender equality and furthers financial, social, and political progress for all.

“Whereas it will be important that we proceed to advocate for the energetic participation of ladies in politics in Nigeria, it’s also very key that we imbibe the tradition of actively supporting girls and ladies into management positions and containing them in decision-making processes.”

She careworn that girls must be impressed to pursue management roles and should be adequately skilled, ready, and able to fulfil such positions.

She added that girls already in management roles should be able to access alternatives for progress and growth.

She acknowledged, “We should finish discrimination towards working moms and break down maternal partitions that are prejudices confronted by working moms and ladies searching for jobs.

“Empower girls to be financially impartial and create a financial scheme that permits girls to generate funds as a method of assistance for ladies who intend to run for elective workplaces.

“Appointment and Elective positions inside the celebration should be seen to replicate the 35% affirmative motion enshrined in celebration constitutions and shouldn’t be restricted to solely a place.”

“Younger girls and women should be groomed and inspired, not maligned and shut out of the political house.
