The National Bureau of Statistics says the typical retail kerosene worth of a litre elevated from N1,329 recorded in January 2024 to N1,340 in February 2024.
The bureau stated this in its Petrol Worth Look ahead to February 2024, launched in Abuja on Thursday.
It stated that the February worth of N1,340 represented a 0.86 per cent increase over January.
The bureau stated the typical worth per litre of kerosene elevated on a year-on-year foundation by 14.23 per cent from N1,173 recorded in February 2023 to N1,340 in February 2024.
On state profile evaluation, the report confirmed that Kaduna recorded the very best typical worth of N1,866 per litre of kerosene in February, adopted by Benue at N1,769 and Niger at N1,710.
“Alternatively, the bottom worth was recorded in Bayelsa at N971.00, adopted by Rivers at N1,065 and Kwara at N1,070,” the report learns.
The NBS stated the evaluation additionally confirmed that the North-Central recorded the best everyday retail worth per litre at N1,486, adopted by the North-East at N1,387.

It stated the South-South recorded the bottom typical retail worth per litre of kerosene at N1,231.
The report stated that the typical retail value per gallon of kerosene paid by customers in February 2024 was N4,880, a 0.19 percent increase from the N4,870 recorded in January 2024.
“On a year-on-year foundation, the typical worth per gallon of kerosene elevated by 24.29 per cent from N3,926 recorded in February 2023.
State profile evaluation confirmed that Adamawa recorded the best typical retail worth at N6,092 per gallon of kerosene, adopted by Bauchi at N5,910 and Kano at N5,779.
Alternatively, the report stated Delta recorded the bottom worth at N4,025, adopted by Abuja and Ondo at N4,250 and N4,400, respectively.
Evaluation by zone confirmed that the North-East recorded the very best typical worth per gallon of kerosene at N5,553, adopted by the North-West at N5,072.
“The South-East recorded the bottom common worth per gallon of kerosene at N4,518,” the NBS stated.
