The Methodist Boys Excessive Faculty, Lagos Outdated Boys Affiliation, has appealed to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to revoke the second Certificates of Occupancy The Methodist Church of Nigeria obtained illegally.
For some years now, the outdated boys had complained bitterly concerning the illicit method wherein the Methodist Church had been encroaching on their alma mater’s land.
Based on the outdated boys, the church has wrongfully taken away 2.3 acres leaving the varsity with 3.3 hectares.
A press release by the President of the outdated boys affiliation, Mr Bolaji Brown, defined that The Methodist Church of Nigeria went by means of the backdoor to acquire a parallel certificates of occupancy on the sixth of February 2012 for residential functions.
Brown, stated: “The Methodist Church of Nigeria went by means of the backdoor to acquire a parallel certificates of occupancy on sixth of February 2012 for residential functions. How can this be? That is the technicality; we’re taking a look at 2.4 acres belonging to Methodist Boys Excessive Faculty which were taken away. What now we have now could be 3.3 hectares of land. A C of O was obtained by means of the backdoor throughout Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s tenure. That is ungodly, unjust, and unfair.

He added that the affiliation had invested closely within the college.

The speedy previous president of Methodist Boys Excessive Faculty, Outdated Boys’ Affiliation, Mr Kolapo Sogbetan, stated: “Over time the belongings of the varsity have been plundered by the Methodist Church Nigeria.
