The Theatre Commander of the Joint Activity Drive, North East Operation Hadin Kai, Gen. Waidi Shuaibu, says terrorists working within the North East have been degraded and are avoiding confrontation with forces within the area.
Shuaibu disclosed this on opening an Improvised Explosive Gadget consciousness and detection coaching for the Civilian Joint Activity Drive in Maiduguri.
“Given this, the necessity for them to resort to IEDs can’t be over-emphasised.
“This coaching is tailor-made to equip individuals with the requisite abilities and data required to search for, detect, determine, and mark IEDs for their security during operations,” he mentioned.
