Nigerian governors are backing Tinubu‘s move to end fuel subsidies. During a visit to the Presidential Villa, they commended his leadership and statesmanship. The NGF, led by AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commended President Tinubu for ending fuel subsidies and promised to help eliminate their immediate effects.
The NGF will work with you constitutionally and harmoniously, AbdulRazaq said. The governors discussed the plight of the citizens and will support solutions through the National Economic Council. Tinubu urged the governors to unite and alleviate the suffering of the people.
In his speech, President Tinubu said the nation should be seen as one big family and that good governance would ensure the future of democracy. “We can see the effects of poverty on the face of our people,” he continued. Poverty is not inherited, it is the result of society. We are for the eradication of poverty. Leave party politics aside, we are here to deliberate on Nigeria and nation-building.
