The Nigerian Army has expressed concern concerning the insufficient energy provided within the Ikeja Army Cantonment, Lagos.
That is because the Federal Authorities allotted N12.7bn for the mass metering in all Military formations.
Minister of Energy Adebayo Adelabu spoke at the flag-off of the metering train at the headquarters of the ninth Brigade of the Nigerian Military, Ikeja Army Cantonment, on the weekend.
Based on a press release made accessible to The PUNCH on Sunday by his media aide, Bolaji Tunji, Adelabu defined that “for the present train, the sum of N12.7 billion has been launched out of a complete of N40bn for the mass metering undertaking.”

The minister said that the mass metering in Military formations nationwide “will allow us to know what’s being consumed on a month-to-month foundation to guarantee applicable billings and ease collections.”

Adelabu said that the present train would last for six weeks, after which the second part would begin.
The minister, who was obtained at the Military headquarters by the Commander, Main Basic A.M Adetuyi, and the Chief Government Officer of De Haryor World Companies, Ashade Olatunbosun, who is accountable for the metering undertaking, stated the present train is part of President Bola Tinubu’s agenda to ensure the common supply of electrical energy to Military formations nationwide.
