The Nigerian Railway Company generated N1.07bn in income from passengers in this autumn of 2023, the Nationwide Bureau of Statistics stated.
In line with the Information Company of Nigeria, that information is contained within the NBS Rail Transportation Information for This Autumn 2023, launched in Abuja on Monday.
The report confirmed that the determination decreased by 7.51 per cent, compared with the N1.15bn generated in this autumn of 2022.
Income from items/cargoes ballooned by 169.16 per cent to N423.22m from N157.23m generated in the identical interval of the earlier 12 months.
In line with the report, the variety of rail transport passengers this autumn of 2023 declined by 49.73 per cent to 672,198 as a substitute of 1,337,108 within the prior interval.
