The presidential candidate of the Labour Social gathering, Peter Obi, has mourned the demise of veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.
In a condolence message posted on his X, previously Twitter dealt with on Sunday, Obi said that Mr Ibu’s demise was an enormous loss to the leisure trade and the nation.
His tweet partly explains, “His demise could be very saddening. He was one legendary comedian actor who embodied laughter, exuded pleasure, and unfolded happiness.
“When sadly he took sick, all of us prayed for his fast restoration and hoped he would bounce again in good well-being.

“His demise is a significant loss, not simply to the leisure trade, but to the nation.
“These artists who lighten the nation’s temper additionally do a fantastic job of serving us all to climate the darkish storms of life.
“On behalf of my household, I commiserate with his bereaved household, the Actors Guild of Nigeria, who misplaced two legendary actors inside several days and the complete Nollywood family.
“We share the pains of his demise; however, we are comforted by the cherished moments of pleasure and happiness he left behind.”
Foxiz NIGERIA stories that Mr Ibu, who was cherished for his comedian roles in films and skits, was confirmed lifeless on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at a hospital in Lagos. He was stated to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
His demise came here barely 24 hours after one other actor, Quadri Oyebamiji, aka Sisi Quadri, was handed away in Osun State.
