The Kaduna State Police Command stated its operatives foiled a kidnap try on the Buruku-Kaduna freeway on Thursday.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, stated in an announcement on Friday in Kaduna that the bandits have been compelled to retreat by the firepower of the personnel.
“On March 21, at 1300hrs, officers from the 47PMF connected to Buruku Police Station efficiently thwarted a kidnapping try by bandits alongside the Buruku-Kaduna freeway.
“Whereas conducting a routine crime prevention patrol alongside the freeway, the vigilant PMF personnel noticed bandits close to Nook Ugara. Upon sighting the PMF personnel, the bandits opened fireplace, prompting a right away response from the officers.
“In a show of exceptional braveness and professionalism, the PMF personnel returned fireplace, successfully neutralizing the menace posed by the armed bandits.
“The alternate of gunfire compelled the bandits to retreat into the close by bush.
