President Tinubu has officially decorated the new Service Chiefs, marking the start of their tenure as the country’s top defence officers.
The ceremony was held inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, witnessed by the vice president, Senator Kassim Shetimma, top government officials, and officers’ family members.
The Service Chiefs were appointed on June 19th and have undergone thorough screening by the National Assembly. Now, they assume their roles as the architects of Nigeria’s defence and security strategies.
President Tinubu presented the new Service Chiefs with their insignia, symbolising their weighty responsibilities. The Chiefs, wearing their uniforms and symbols, vowed to safeguard Nigeria’s peace, unity, and security.
