The video, filmed on Wednesday, shows Kate dressed casually and appearing pale and tired. She acknowledges the shock of the diagnosis and emphasizes that she and William are handling the situation privately for the sake of their young family.
Meanwhile, King Charles, aged 75, underwent a procedure for an enlarged prostate in January at the same hospital as Kate. Buckingham Palace announced in February that he would undergo cancer treatment, leading to the postponement of his public royal duties.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace expressed pride in Kate’s courage and confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla would continue to love and support the entire family during this challenging time.
Despite his strained relationship with William since relocating to California with Meghan, Prince Harry sent a message of support, wishing Kate and the family health and healing.
