Russia condemned an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria, known as on the Jewish state to stop such “utterly unacceptable” actions, and has requested a gathering with the UN Safety Council concerning the strike.

The strike
Suspected Israeli warplanes bombed Iran’s embassy in Syria on Monday in a strike that Iran stated killed seven of its navy advisers, together with three senior commanders, marking a major escalation in Israel’s battle with its regional adversaries.
“We strongly condemn this assault on the Iranian consular mission in Syria,” Russia’s international ministry stated. “Such aggressive actions by Israel are completely unacceptable and have to be stopped.”
