One of the WORST tragedies that can happen to any society, community, and country is when that ONE PERSON everyone, young and old looks up to as the TRUTH Teller, looks the people in the face and ASSERTS a LIE! That ‘ haaaaaaaa ‘ moment was what the whole world felt when Prof. Wole Soyinka, in faraway South Africa, INSISTED that the Labor Party LOST the February 25 election… Indeed, according to the Nobel laureate, the party came third.
First of all, that is NOT true; and facts abound to SUPPORT it and secondly, it is a LIE that the Election Riggers have been selling to its base. The idea, as I see it (from my Conspiracy Theory Oracle) is that those who planned it, believe that once Soyinka says it, then the LIE will become BELIEVABLE and that’ll be it. Unfortunately for them, the opposite is what is playing out. For those who believe old age is what is ‘ worrying Soyinka, ‘ I’m sorry to burst your bubble, here; old man Soyinka is SOUNDER and mentally STRONGER than most of you young ones. So, the Nobel laureate knows what he is saying and UNDERSTANDS why he is saying it. Immediate former Works Minister and second Governor of Lagos State in this fourth republic, Babatunde Raji Fashola said at some point, that ‘ may your loyalty NEVER be put to test…’

Let’s face it, Soyinka has Bola Ahmed Tinubu to thank for his REHABILITATION during Prof’s post-Sani Abacha days. It was an OPEN SECRET that Wole Soyinka was the Maximum Ruler’s WORST NIGHTMARE; while in response, the military head of state became Soyinka’s NEMESIS! Predictably, Abacha was ready to get rid of the Nobel laureate at all costs and by every means necessary. Soyinka escaped with a hair breath. After Abacha died, Soyinka returned home to the RUINS of his material wealth. With virtually no one to restore his lost possessions, he found a RELENTLESS HELPER in Tinubu, who had SOMEHOW become the Governor of Lagos State. As a human being, there is no way on this Earth that you will betray such a Benefactor; regardless of whatever crimes they are ALLEGED to have committed. This, for me, is the CONTEXT that binds the Soyinka-Jagaban romance. In other words, and like all Jagaban’s beneficiaries, Soyinka is MERELY paying back a favor. With what we are seeing today, in the UNFOLDING drama of the West’s EVIL AGENDA against Africa, a la Niger, and others, my position that the late Sani Abacha had a far BETTER agenda for Nigeria than many of his predecessors and the whole bunch of CRIMINAL leaders who have succeeded him till date; SAVE for the Late Umar Yar’Adua of blessed memory, becomes more VALID! Abacha’s government kept Nigeria TOGETHER and SAFE; despite GLOBAL SANCTIONS against the country; because of him. As I have always maintained, ONLY those who were hell-bent on REMOVING Abacha from power had issues with him. Yes, Abacha did wrong to have FRUSTRATED the MKO June 12 mandate. That is a story for another day.
But one vital point, history has shown us, within this context, is that those who were PERSECUTING Abacha’s government are the ones in power today. With the ATROCITIES being committed by these SELF-STYLED Democrats in government, today, I’m pretty sure, God has changed His mind and REMOVED Abacha from hell and TRANSFERRED the Late Dictator to HEAVEN with Angelic fanfare. Those who understand global politics, the dynamics, and the variables at play, especially as DICTATED and directed by the West, would find Soyinka as a major PROP in that PLAY! The consequences and dimensions of Soyinka’s statement in South Africa are vast and varied as they are DANGEROUS to the psyche of the Nigerian citizenry. As the FACE of academic excellence in Nigeria, Soyinka’s DELIBERATE silence on the ongoing IDENTITY THEFT and Certificate Forgery scandal unfolding in a Chicago court concerning Tinubu says a lot about his State of mind regarding the State of affairs in Nigeria. So, is Soyinka saying it is now okay for Nigeria’s President or any political office holder, in Nigeria to be accused, WITH EVIDENCE of being a certificate forger and IMPERSONATOR? By his ENDORSEMENT of the EVIDENT evil perpetrated in the last election, is Soyinka saying it is ok to BLATANTLY rob the people of their victory…
His assertion that the Labour Party has turned into an ethnic political contraption is NONSENSICAL.
Did he not see MC Oluomo and his boys DISENFRANCHISE poor Nigerians from voting their choice if they were not voting for Tinubu… What does he call that, a RIGHTEOUS ethnic electoral intervention?

In all of these, I can only APPEAL to all Nigerians, especially the Youths; not to ALLOW Soyinka’s bigotted statement rouse ethnicity-fired hate and tension among them. Please find solace and CONFIDENCE of a UNITED Nigeria in Pa Ayo Adebanjo’s and yes, (as much as I DISLIKE his ways, etc) Olusegun Obasanjo’s OBJECTIVE take on the State of our nation today. For the young ones who grew up seeing Soyinka as their idol, the Nobel laureate has just SQUANDERED his Goodwill. Their anger against Soyinka is that they know that the ‘truth’ the Nobel laureate is now PEDDLING is NOT THE TRUTH concerning the February 25 election results.
In closing, permit me a little digression. For those of us waiting for JUSTICE at the Supreme Court, let me burst your bubble. I don’t see it happening. Just as Mary Odili was USED to give us a HINT of the CRIMINAL MISCARRIAGE of Justice we eventually witnessed with the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), Soyinka’s current campaign against the TRUTH of the Election results is a SIGNAL as to where the Justices will TILT their judgment. To further deepen the EXPO, rumors running around are that the judges are going to REJECT new EVIDENCE; especially Abubakar Atiku’s Chicago State University case against Tinubu. If you have been following updates on the case, you would have DISCOVERED that Jagaban has ADMITTED impersonating the IDENTITY of a WOMAN in the certificate he submitted.
That is classic IDENTITY THEFT!
Against the backdrop of all the evidence, old and new, the case against Tinubu is CLEAR as day. Before the PEPT judgement, it was ALL eyes on the judiciary. After that CRIMINAL JUDGEMENT, all the eyes were blinded by Justice Haruna Tsamani PEPT team’s MONUMENTAL MISCARRIAGE of Justice; save for just ONE EYE. That ONE EYE is not just on the Judiciary, it is now FIXATED on the Supreme Court. Should the Apex Court toe the ABOMINABLE path of the Tsamani-tattered judicial course, they will have succeeded in totally blinding the sight of true justice and country, Blinded by the DELIBERATE injustice from an UNJUST judicial system, the citizenry may resort to fierce GROPE; for the LIBERATING light of TRUTH! We should pray that time does not happen; because its RETRIBUTIVE justice will SPELL DOOM for the EVIL ones among us.
