The Chancellor of JAMB, Is-haq Oloyede, held discussions with the rectors to establish uniform standards for the admission of students. The meeting focused on the specifics of the universities and the different responses. The aim was to set minimum standards and be guided by global best practises.
JAMB says universities have the right to relocate and not wait for JAMB. The stakeholders’ meeting was for critique and suggestions. The university VC should follow the transfer procedures sent earlier. “Returning students must register retrospectively with the Ministry of Education for emergency transfers,” said the Registrar of the Board of Examinations.
He said, “Returning students should go to the IBASS registration page accessible through the website JAMB and transfer their details. They should upload their registration documents, select their preferred university and course of study and submit scanned copies of their admission letter, transcript, passport details and affidavit to confirm authenticity.”
