By this time tomorrow, the Supreme Court would have ruled in the case filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar; seeking the DISQUALIFICATION of the APC Vice presidential candidate, Kassim Shetima, for double nominations in the last elections.
Shetima had filed two nomination forms; one, for a Senatorial seat and the other as Vice President for the presidential election. By the dictates of the Law, it is an offence under the Electoral Act 2022 for politicians to obtain multiple nomination forms. According to Section 115 (D) of the Act, a person who signs a nomination paper or result form as a candidate in more than one constituency at the same election commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a maximum term of imprisonment for two years.

To make clearer, the provisions of the law, “CONSTITUENCY” as stipulated in the legal document refers to separate elections whether it is presidential, governorship, senatorial, the House of Representatives, or that of the state assembly.
“Section 115 (D) of the 2022 electoral act stipulates that no person shall sign, obtain more than one form as a candidate for different elections,”
“And the offence for that under subsection K, beyond the financial, he will go two years’ imprisonment. Tomorrow is the day of destiny… For the Judges. It is a day they will give justice and LIVE to be CELEBRATED; or, the day they GROPE for JUST any judgement that would KEEP the STRANGLE HOLD tighter on Nigeria and Nigerians. If that’s what they BOLDLY come with, AGAINST GLARING EVIDENCE that would have aided them to DELIVER JUSTICE, they RISK not having PEACE the rest of their Lives.
It is a day of destiny for Nigeria; because it will signal the TRUE REBIRTH of the GREAT Nigeria we hoped for in these elections. Or, it may end up being a STATEMENT to JUSTIFY why Nigeria MUST remain the COCOON of EVIL people in power.
It is a day of destiny for Nigerians; because it will either signal their walk into true FREEDOM into the global world of HUMAN BEINGS! Or, the day, an OBVIOUSLY demonic judgement will bring out the BEAST of the masses of Nigerians. Either way, it is a day with destiny for all; even for Africa and the entire world. I hope the judges won’t apply the LOCUS STANDI fraud to say PDP is a meddlesome interloper. I hope they will not INSIST that it is not in the place of Atiku Abubakar to QUESTION the double nomination of Kassim Shetima; where the constitution is UNAMBIGUOUSLY clear that it is CRIMINAL to have double nominations in the SAME election…I hope they don’t say, in their questionable wisdom, yet, that it is INEC’s role to handle… And that since the umpire finds nothing wrong, it is ok for Shetima to have double nominations. If, they do the needful, it means Bola Tinubu would have used his hands to CROWN Atiku as President; by default.By INEC IREV results, Atiku came second, while Peter Obi came a LANDSLIDE first.
Fortunately and unfortunately, the whole world know that the APC manipulation and results ALLOCATION, flipped it all; to retain Atiku in the second position; while APC allocated the first to itself. In all of these, we AWAIT the judicial technicality, the grammar and the wisdom, they will use to JUSTIFY allowing the CRIMINALITY of double nominations; which is CLEARLY AGAINST the Electoral Act. As we say in Nigeria, in the FIRST RULING they have made in this SENSITIVE Presidential Petition, the Judiciary has’ SHOWN THEMSELVES’ and giving us a HINT of where THEIR own SCALE of JUDGEMENT may TILT.Is it a judiciary that BANNED the use of PHONES in court and RULED against LIVE TELECAST of Court Proceedings, that would give JUSTICE? Or, is it the judiciary that ALLOWED outgoing Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, to go scot-free; when he should be sitting in Jail for the OFFENSE of filing two nomination forms, just as Shetima did, that will deliver the RIGHT JUDGEMENT? If they can let Lawan off the hook; for an offence committed in the same election, in which PDP is asking for the disqualification of the APC vice presidential candidate, what is the GUARANTEE that they will LEAVE Lawan and SEND Shetima to Prison… thereby CRASHING the planned inauguration, happening in a few days time.
The stakes are much HIGHER this time; because if Lawan could be ALLOWED to escape JUSTICE, do you think Bola Ahmed Tinubu who knows what he has done to have come this far, just a few days to the ACTUALIZATION of his life ambition, would not have ANTICIPATED and DONE something about it; even as you read this?
I pray they PROVE me WRONG in their judgement tomorrow. Either way, and HOWEVER it goes, tomorrow is truly our day of DESTINY; Nigeria’s day with DESTINY.
