Nyesom Wike, former governor of Rivers State, says the APC should be grateful for another chance to right its past wrongs against Nigerian citizens.
Wike, who made this known during a live media conference on Tuesday in the Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt, where he spoke on zoning under the present administration, is a member of the PDP. The former governor accused his party of relying on figures and not adhering to the principle of delimitation, which he said cost them the February 25 election and gave the APC a chance to win.

The APC should be happy that God gave it a chance at the expense of the PDP. God is allowing the APC to redeem itself from its sins against Nigerians,’ Wike said.
Wike commended Tinubu‘s adherence to the zoning formula and dismissed allegations of a “Muslim agenda” in the election of the vice president, saying they were made by lazy politicians. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima won the election despite criticism of their same-sex ticket. Wike warned APC critics to support the president and not obstruct his government for the good of Nigerians. “God has given them this opportunity and they should not spoil it with crisis. If the President does not have a smooth administration, Nigerians will suffer. Let us treat everyone equally and give them a sense of belonging.
