World Bank President Ajay Banga will visit Nigeria for three days, meeting with President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
This visit is part of a global tour to reshape the institution’s practises. “Banga will focus on creating jobs, addressing energy needs, exploring renewable energy, and exploring digitization in Nigeria,” the World Bank stated.
He will visit a World Bank-funded solar power plant for a community and a female-owned business creating over 1,500 jobs for young Nigerians.
The World Bank will also host talks with representatives of the private sector and civil society. Banga arrives in Ethiopia with his wife Ritu after a two-day visit.
